I think it would be worthwhile to also have an app so that people can use it easier from their phone or iPad. There is of course, an option to get a bookmark on your iPhone iPad if you know how to do it don’t know about android phones. If this forum should be successful, we need to use all available technical possibilities. At least I think so.
I have a prototype of an app, but I can’t do anything with it until the website features are dialed in. The website has to be “locked in” as kids say these days ![]()
I really appreciate the suggestion, and I love that you’re thinking ahead about how to make this easier for everyone. Just to set expectations though - right now it’s pretty much just me building all of this! So I have to prioritize getting the basics rock-solid before I can layer on more features. The good news is that Discourse (the forum software) is designed to work really well on mobile browsers, so it should be pretty usable on phones and iPads even without a dedicated app.
Once we get more traction and I know the forum is meeting everyone’s needs, an app would definitely be on the roadmap.
Thanks for dragging us into the 21st C! Though I miss the phone booth by Cahill’s everyone referred to as the “can you talk now” phone … hello…. Oops wrong number….
