The Forum Now Runs on Kubernetes (Yes, Really)

For those keeping score at home, this community forum for a village of ~2,300 people is now running on a Kubernetes cluster.

Was a single server perfectly adequate? Absolutely. Was the previous setup already overkill? Without question. Did that stop me? Obviously not.

At this point I’m pretty sure I could survive a direct meteor strike on Northeast Ohio and the forum would failover to… well, somewhere. I’m not entirely sure anymore. That’s the beauty of Kubernetes.

On the bright side, the forum now matches the rest of my infrastructure: needlessly complex, impossibly redundant, and a source of endless entertainment for me.

If you notice any hiccups, let me know. If everything seems exactly the same as before, that’s the idea.
